Dr. Kasden`s Experience

Allow me to share with you my professional experience.

After completing my undergraduate degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., I  went on to earn  my master`s degree in zoology. I became a graduate teaching fellow and instructed undergraduate courses in human physiology, histology and comparative vertebrate endocrinology. I developed an "acid rain" model that demonstrated that acidified water induces increased potassium losses in fresh-water fish. I was also a visiting volunteer researcher at the university s medical school, where I isolated and prepared tumor-associated melanoma surface antigens for immuno-adjuvant therapy in terminal cancer patients.

From there, it was on to The BDM Corporation in McClean, Virginia, where I accepted a position as an associate staff member in Technology Applications and Evaluation. I edited and assisted in the development of  The Hazardous Materials Monograph Series and investigated toxicological hazards from U.S. Army coatings and operations, and assessed occupational exposure protection strategies.

I attended The Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., from 1982 to 1986. I served my general surgery residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital from 1986 to 1991 and my plastic surgery residency at The Medical College of Ohio, at Toledo from 1991 to 1993. I am now certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
